As part of my 150,000 mile mini-overhaul, I just replaced my battery and ALL my fuses - under the dash and under hood. I wasn't having any electrical problems but all my fuses were OE = 11.5 years old.Clint (TX) 2001 Silverado LS 4.8L auto 2wd ECSB [GARAGE]

So I go to buy new tie rod ends (Master Pro) would normally run about $26.03 (with tax here) for one outer end. If you buy 2 that comes out to about 55$+-. I just got tie rod ends for under $30. One I earned a free $20 which came to $6.03 (at one store as the only had one), the other was normal price and came to $23.99 plus tax came to $26.03 (at the other store). I gave the guy $27.00 and he asked me if I had $.03, I said no. He said ok, and hands me back a dollar. He goes I know you're good for it. I said, "Oh like a almost military discount huh." He goes, "I'll give you the discount, I'm military too." I say, "Nah its good." He rings me up the 10% courtesy discount, which knocks off $2.70 to bring the grand total to $29.45.
So in the morning I will be replacing my tie rod ends.
If at first you don't succeed, chances are, you are using too small of a cheater bar

Nice money savings there.
I ordered motor oil, oil filter, transmission fluid, diff fluid, trans case fluid, air filter and new wipers. I'll be changing that stuff shortly. Well, getting it changed. I also found out when autoanything will be restocking my headlights thanks to Clark. Thanks Clark. So should be ordering those in a few weeks.

I FINALLY figured out my voltage drop issue today! And right before I cut a hole in my floor board to swap the fuel pump and sending unit!
Finally found out it was my switch for my tailgate window on the dash! Luckily I had my stethascope out trying to make sure it was really my fuel pump taking a dump on me. I heard the motor in the tailgate clicking with it and through a series of events discovered that my switch was stuck in the up position.
So tomorrow it's off to Radio Shack to get a new 3 way switch to fix the long standing problem! WOO HOO! (knock on wood :-/ )
