Default Suspension Lift + Leveling Kit ???

Great forum, love all the info.

I've got an 04 silverado with a 7" CST suspension lift kit. My 35" BFG muds when I got them rubbed ever so slightly at very specific times. Getting new Swamper M16 35s which are slightly bigger then 35" so I think I might need another 1-2" to be safe. I was thinking I should add a coil spring spacer, any reason why I shouldn't do this?

Welcome to the site! I don't have any "lift" experience, but there are a lot of tall trucks on the site. Have fun!

I did the exact same thing on mine. So far I have not had a problem and have had mine on since last July (2009). You should check to see how far the diff was dropped in your lift to make sure you will not have a problem with your angles. Also, you will end up lower in the rear (as I am) and that will need to be addressed (unless you like that Cali lean, which I personally do not). By the way...welcome.

Canis - sounds exactly like what you got is what I'm thinking, good to hear no issues. Did you have to adjust your diff angles/drive shaft with the extra 1.5"?

Just got the swampers installed this weekend and so far nothing too different in terms of light rubbing at very specific times then what I experienced with my BFGs originally. If it ain't broke...

No, the angles were still good with the adjustment made with the lift. How do the swampers ride? Could you trim some to take care of the rubbing? Post up some pics.

one way to level the rear if spacers used up front is to add a leaf to the rear springs, or you can cheat a little with airbags.
