Default 03 Suburban Replacement radio w\6 CD shifter

    Hey ya all.
Just popping a quick question which I hope some of you can help me with.
As I live in Norway, it is not that easy to get specific what I need, and as well not the answers I would like.
    I have a 2003 Suburban 8,1 Vortec LT Autoride.
BOSE soundsystem installed, but have learned (from BOSE), that the stereo itself is not BOSE, only the speakers and so on.
My stereo radio works fine, but the 6 CD shifter is broken, it doesn`t even take a cleaner CD, nothing. It just spits it out again.
So, here in Norway I have checked a bit around, and it will cost me a fortune to install a replacmenet un-original player, as I need a converter kit to get it to work with the steeringwheel buttons.
I have the multifunction steering wheel, with all the buttons and so on, also a button for the on star system (I think, it looks like a head speaking ).
The problem, I have been told, if I buy any 2 DIN player and install it, is that it won`t work with the buttons. The On Star I guess, is no use for me in Norway, but I wan`t my buttons to work.
Anyone have an idea what to do, any plug and play stereo that would work, conversionkits......whatever?
Or any tips of were in the US I can get a replacement, original?
    Any recommendations.
I have an adress in the US, which can be used for shipments, so it doesn`t have to be a place that ships internationally.

PS: If I buy a non original 2 DIN player here in Norway, the conversion from Pioneer to have my wheel buttons work, will cost me twice the price of the player itself....

    Anyone ?

Nothing will be plug and play for the Bose equiped truck. I can suggest you pull out the headunit out and take the top off and see it you can see what the problem is.

Yeah....i will try to do that.
The only thing is that on my player, there is not written BOSE, and BOSE themselves say that the stereo is not theirs, but a GM one.
I guess I have to study this a bit closer. And come back.

    Thanks

Can`t find anything obvious wrong with the player......
Can anyone recommend a online shop which may have a new original player for me ?

I would check ebay.com/ Acdelco.com/ or www.gmpartsclub.com Im not sure how it is in Norway, but you might have to have a dealer reprogram it so that it will work on your vehicle.
