Default Rough/ long turning over before fireing.

Well I got another little quirk with my truck I'm looking to resolve. Its a 1992 sonoma 2.8 L 5spd.
Most of the time in the morning I goto leave for work truck fires up fine, maybe 2 turns and she fires, but I'll stop for something and run into a store and come out and it'll take 3-5 seconds on the key being turned and it turning over before it'll fire, other times it'll fire then almost die.

Also when I floor it it seems to lag a bit to get full power. I know its only a 2.8 and there isn't all that much power to be had but I've noticed the diference in the almost 2 years I've had it.

What could this be? sending unit maybe? I've replaced the cap and rotor and went upto 8.8 accell wires, and changed plugs. New starter in the summer and new battery last winter.

Fuel pump or filter. What about the airfilter sounds dumb but sometimes the simple things can cause big problems.

Well took the truck to my mechanic, he said he couldn't figure it out and couldn't replicate the problem. But he said its getting fuel forsure he said its spraying. I picked up a new air filter and some new ac delco platimun plugs. He said that the NGK's I had were no good for my gm. Now I just have to get my 3/8's drive rachet replaced since my buddy used a 4 foot bar on it...

    We'll see how it goes.

I tried to run the ngks in my truck. I thought they did a great gob in my crx why not in my truck.Something about the plugs my truck didnt like.I too went back to the ac delco plugs and the truck runs 3 times better. The funny thing is if i run something in my crx other then ngks it runs like a dog so i guess they set the motors up to have to have that type of plug.
