easiest way is to disconnect the battery, touch the batter cables together, then reconnect.
this clears all stored voltage and reboots the computer to factory start up.
only downside to doing this... you totally loose all your radio pre-sets lol so you gotta find your favorite stations again.Gas was $1.83 when Obama took office.....

It sounds like his actual Check Engine lot is on and he needs to have get the code from it, not just clear it.
