I am new to the Chevrolet diesel. I have been driving a 1st generation Dodge Cummins (1991) D250 for the past 10 years. I now have a 1997 Suburban with the 6.5 diesel. I have a million questions but the first that comes to mind is about the turbo and the waste gate and the boost that I can expect out of this stock engine with 160,000 miles on it. What venders are usually used to get the correct boost and pyro gauges? Any other information that I might need to know to eqip this vehicle with the gauges I might need to better monitor the engine and transmission, like , where in the exhaust system would be the best place for a pryometer? the boost gauge?? thanks for any info provided in advance... Glowshift Gauges are very accurate. i dont know about the EGT sensor. (Exhaust temp sensor) but the boost you have to tap in to the MAP sensor
