    Default Gas Milage

    I just recently started getting worse gas milage in my truck. The last few months I have noticed it starting to go down. I just turned 100,000 miles and am ready for a tune up but would that have anything to do with it? I have checked the tire pressure, cleaned my k&n airfilter, got the oil changed, done it all. The only thing I have left is the tune up...any ideas??

    yes do the tune up. that is more likely your problem

    yeah...if u're truck is still on stock tires, a fresh tune up will get her back.

    Ya, id look into plugs and plug wires.

    Default do this

    clean EGR valve (free), replace pcv valve (2 bucks), get new plugs and wires (opt for pre gapped performance plugs), change transmission fluid and filter, check and or change engine colloant, change air filter, check/clean O2 sensors (use electrical connection cleaner!) put in some high power fuel injector cleaner and water drier (lucas makes good stuff), and next time you change the oil, right before you do put in some stuff Risoline makes and let it idle for five minutes, then drop the oil pan and clean out all the gunk and put it back before adding new oil. Take your intake tube off the throttle body and spray some injector cleaner in your throttle body while running, have a friend give it gas some and do it at idle while doing this. Check your MAF sensor and if its dirty or gummed up clean it with electrical cleaner. O, and if its more than just loss of power and its kinda hesitatin bad or skippin, check your ignition. Make sure the battery is disconnected when messin with the O2 and MAF sensor and allow a min or to for the electrical cleaner to completely evaporate before re-installing.
