Default 4 or 6 inch suspension lift

Hi everyone, I just installed a 3 inch body lift on my 05 silverado ext cab 4x4. This was my first time doing this and am not quite happy with the height. I've been thinking about getting a 4 inch suspension lift to add to the body lift. I want to run 35's and thought a 6 inch suspension lift plus the 3 inch body might make the 35's seem too small. Which is a better way to go? The six or the four?

always go bigger!!! does your truck have the manual shifter in the floor or the automatic? i'm wanting to put a body lift on my truck with my 6" suspension. i say go bigger because then if you want in the future you can go with a bigger tire and not have to redue everything you've already did.

Lancer, I have the manual shifter on the floor. You are a terrrible influence by the way, now I have all kinds of ideas in my head.

Sharpshooterusmc, Semper Fi. I got out last september. Yeah..I like your thinking too, this is gonna be a tough one. I was looking for 4 inch suspension lifts last night for my year truck and couldn't come up with much. Most of them seemed to be for 07 and up. Anyone got any good recommendations?

How did you extend your floor shifter? I am looking at ditching my spacers that I added to my 6 inch lift and throwing a body lift on mine, but I have the floor shifter so the most I could do without extending it somehow is the Zone 1.5" BL, but I want a 3".

3 inch body on that truck you can clear 35's but you wont have as much flex. with a 4 inch lift without the body lift you can clear 35's. on the internet sites where it says a 6 inch lift calls for 35's it means so you can have stock flex and all the stock ride quality and everything. i know a guy with a 91 yoter which is suprisingly very similar to chevy trucks he has a 4inch suspension and 35's and he has plenty of flex to go wherever that truck feels like goin and his truck rides fine. i would nut up and go ahead and roll 35's on the body lift or take the body lift off and add a 4 inch suspension and roll 35's or the 6 inch and 37's. but thats my personal opinion. hope i helped you out on your decision.

Cool 4 or 6 inch suspension lift

Skyjacker makes a 3" suspension lift for your truck thats easy to install because you dont have to drop the front diff. out to install. Takes about 4-5hours to install. This will give you the 6" lift for your 35s and not make them look to small.

I've heard you can fit 35's with just a 3 inch body but that it is kind of hit and miss. My buddy has them on his 2000 silverado with just a 3 inch lift. I just dont want to buy the tires then find out they won't fit. Another one of my friends has a 98 silverado I believe, he's got a 3in body and 3 inch suspension with 35s and those things rub on sharp turns but not too bad. I think I'm gonna go with the 3 or 4, thanks for all the help guys!
