I am going to be dropping my pan to change the fluid filter soon, would one of these be very hard to install myself? Also, will it affect gas mileage at all? what all will it change?

I ordered mine last night. Its cheaper if you go through their ebay store. Ill be installing mine this weekend

01chevrolet- The install looks fairly simple. Some people can do it in 30minutes. it will improve the life of your transmission and I believe it will make the shifts more firm.

Firm being, not smooth? But stronger? And it will improve the life of it, thats worth it all in its own. You said ebay is the best place to get my paws on one?

Yep. I guess it makes the shifting a little more firm. Some people barely notice that they added it. It's supposed to help improve the life of some of the parts in your transmission. That's the main reason why I'm getting it. I first had the order ready through there website, but I compared the total price with their website and their eBay store. The eBay store was cheaper by a few bucks.

I just picked up the trans-go kit locally for $65, got both valve body gaskets, the filter and pan gasket for $13.. I should have time Sunday to get it in and I'll let yall know how it goes.

hell I'm feelin itchy, maybe I'll go back to work after my physical therapy and tear into it. I'm celebrating a friends 21st birthday Saturday night so there's a chance I won't be up for much of anything Sunday.

So, how hard is it going to be if the tranny is still on the truck lol.

To install a shift kit or a servo the transmission can stay on the truck.

My servo came today. I will be installing it saturday or sunday.

I ran into some pretty annoying issues with mine.. 30 minutes, maybe for the 2nd gear servo, not for the shift kit, i'm not sure which one you're talking about.

i had to disconnect the trans xmember and take an air hammer to the bottom of the body to get the 2-4 servo? 2nd gear accumulator.. what ever the hell the thing in the side of the trans is. that was a pita to get out, I finally found a video saying just pull the O-ring out with a pick and cut it, pull it out and the cap pops right off.

It'll probably take me on and off all day tomorrow to do it, working on it when there's not work to be done for the boss.

I'm hoping ordering the o-rings from Chevy will be fairly painless tomorrow.
