i dont think they look bad, even thought I wouldnt put them on my truck, i have a friend with a single 5 inch stack coming off his v6 and it doesnt sound bad, dont do it people would mess with it thought...people here constantly put oil/tranny fluid down it so it smokes

    YES!

I have a question though? I have never seen a gas truck with stacks before, and I thought that the point of them on a diesel was for the turbo? What is the purpose of them o a gas truck, does it sound better or what? I have often thought about doing it, but wasn't sure what would be the down side of them.

I was always a fan of the Lil' Red Express.
I don't think there is a specific performance benefit for vertical stacks it's just for the "Big Rig" look, like was already said, it's your truck, do what you want to do.

If you add stacks, then you could install the flame thrower kit.

    I am not sure!
A lot of people by me have stacks on there gas trucks & some sound good, others not so! Depends on muffler. I would do a single 3" with muffler under neath or a cherry bomb & put a nice looking 5" over it for the look. Will leave more room in bed, cheaper & simpler to do. Also when people poor stuff down there they might miss the 3" pipe! LOL
We did it on an old truck we used for mud & water fun, 1 side was for intake & other for exhaust but didnt make it look pretty

My intial thought was no but I like my truck or vehicles to be different and not follow completely what everybody else does. So stacks on a gasser would do that, I'm not a huge fan of them but they did make the lil red wagon look good back in the 70's so I say go for it.

You have the absolute right to do what you want to with your truck. If it was my truck i would not add stacks. i think it detracts from the look of the truck and definitly not a gasser. IMO
