Thread: no spark?

  1. #1

    Default no spark?

I have a 94 chevy silverado. This same thing has happened to me three times, ill be driving along and it is running great then it will just shut off for no reason. I can turn it over all I want but there will be no spark. the other two times I have changed the modual and then it starts. This time it didnt work though, i put a new modual, rotar, and distributer cap and it still has no spark at all. I have also clean all the gounds. Does anyone have any ideas wht else it could be?

Well you certainly hit all of the obvious items.

How about the Coil? If it is the original coil, it may be time for a new one.

I recently swapped out all of the same items you mentioned and through in an Accell Super Coil for grins.

Give it a go and let us know how it turns out.

How do you like the Accel Super Coil? I installed an MSD Ignition Coil and noticed an improvement in how fast my truck cranks up when i start it.

    Cranks and fires up quickly...

But the best benefit is the amount of spark, while running, helps to detenate the fuel hotter and burns more efficiently.
