Hey, maybe there is a compromise position here.

Haven't ever gotten out a tape measure for confirmation, but couldn't we just get a smart car and carry it around in our truck beds in case we ever ship the truck to europe to tour around or drive it to central america and need it to navigate the narrower curving streets common in those places, or decide to drive into some place like New York and try to park?

Maybe they could serve sort of as our dinghy's for use in these places. Don't have to peddle them either.

I better go out and order one for my Wife...ah hell may as well trade in my truck and get another. Two smart cars are better than none....

My wife and I were sitting in traffic behind a Smart Car that had a 1.25 inch receiver hitch. We wondered, at the time, what you could possibly tow behind the Smart Car.

Then, I realized: it must have been a female!

Thanks for the great April Fool's Day joke! I was actually worried, for a second, there!

I was like pissed at first, thought "SHUT IT DOWN AND BAN ME FROM THE NEW FORUM BECAUSE I WILL NEVER JOIN"

Then I kept reading and was like wait a minute..... so APRIL FOOLS?

WOOT THANKS GOD IT IS APRIL

oh and a car/truck will be smart when it drives for me but that would take the fun out of driving so screw that idea too :na:

Yeah Whateva.... I hope you don't just roll over that easy with your freedom.
So you plan on hauling lumber, landscape material and whatever else in the smart car now?

I know better... anyone who's owned a truck will never give them up since they are great versatile vehicle.

Same here, I just about had a heart attack. Heck, I went straight to the first computer I could find to see if this was really April Fool's. Nicely done Steve, just don't wreck your smart car. Man, if i was close enough to prank Steve back oh the fun it would be. Rock on everyone, and pray this thing never shut's down. Even if it has to be about used vehicles cause GM dies.
