HELP with hvac panel!
Just need some quick feedback, I searched but couldn't find what I needed...
I am working on a 2003 Silverado for a customer...all the backlighting on the HVAC panel and radio are burned out...can the face plate on the HVAC just be pulled off to swap the bulbs? If so, do I have to remove the whole HVAC unit from the dash, or is the faceplate removable while leaving the unit bolted in (obviously I know the plastic dash panel that covers everything needs to be removed) ?
I know in my cavalier you can just remove the faceplate and swap out bulbs, and sometimes GM likes to use the same idea on little electronics like that in different models...I just know on mine you have to pull the whole HVAC box, then the faceplate unbolts from the back.
Any help is greatly appreciated, this is a customer's truck and I'd like to wrap it up ASAP! Thanks in advance!

Youll have to pull the unit out, theres 4 screws on the back that muct be removed. The knobs all pull off ( careful of the temp slider knobs ) then the face will come off. Some of the lighting are bulbs and some are LED.
hope this helps
