rough idle with a/c
When I have the A/C on the engine has a rough idle. Also, when any fan setting is on, the A/C compressor cycles on and off.
Is this normal?
Is there anyway to determine if a compressor is on it's last legs?1988 C1500

Also, the pressure could be too high. If there's a clog somewhere in the lines, the pressure will go up rapidly, and the pressure cut-out switch on the condenser will cut power to keep from hurting the compressor.
