    Default Stuck Bolts

    Can anyone help me out here!? I was removing my exhaust on my bike and of course the freakin bolt snapped. I attempted to use the "EZ OUT" and failed. I drilled through the b*tch so I am stuck, dont know what to do at this point. I have sprayed it with liquid wrench plenty of times. Hit it with hammers, busted my knuckles. The day was going so well to... uuggghh

    Drill, and tap i think are your only options... sadly.


    1997 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4X4 with 330K miles and counting (Hunting rig).

    If U haven't damaged the threads, drill thru it again w/ a bit just slightly smaller than the bolt leaving mostly the bolt in the threads and hollow in the center. Then take the corner of a sharp chisel and colapse the remaining metal out of the threads. Sometimes you can do this and crush the remaining part of the bolt and work it out. You need enough room to get at it and a small enough chisel to do it w/ out boogering up the threads. Chase it w/ a tap and get another bolt.

    Otherwise drill and re-tap -or- get a Heli-Coil kit...alot of weekend warrior dirt bikes were re-bolted together heli coils...they work but it get's expensive buying all the different sizes.
