03 Silverado dies when in gear

I have a 03 silverado, every now and then my truck dies on my when i put it from park to drive. usualy one when its cold, even if i let it warm up it still does it. any one got any ideas. Ill try anything, i get tired of having to put one foot on the gas to keep up runnin when im slowing down. Oh i should add, it does drive and idle just fine but as soon as i put it in any gear it just dies. or when im slowing down and let off the gas.

It does this in all gears? Including reverse? You may be looking at the Torque converter
