Default Need a definate answer PLEASE!!!

I am going to be putting a ready lift leveling kit in my truck soon , already have it bought. My question is I have to buy tires for my truck now my old ones are gone. Can I fit 285 70 17 on my 2006 CCSB 4x4 on stock rims with no lift at all and have no rubbing issues. The reason is for warranty purposes. You see I have 8000kms left on my warranty which will be voided if I put in the keys. But If I run into trouble I have a set of winter tires 265 70 17 on steel rims that I could swap before I take it to the dealer. I have looked every where on this site and I have not found a definate answer. Sorry to bother anybody thanks

Before i can answer you, what is your stock tire size and will it void your warranty if you crank your torsion bars instead of putting in new keys?
1995 Silverado,Z71, 3-inch lift,2-inch leveling kit, SkyJacker Suspension, short ram-air intake, throttle body spacer, MSD ignition coil, straight pipes

285/70/17 are 32.7" tall and 11.2" wide, your stock size on an '06 is 265/70/17 which are 32.1" tall, less than 3/4" difference, so to answer your question, yes they will fit fine.

Hey man Thanks for the quick response To answer the first response my stock size is 17 inch and to crank my torsion bars will void my warranty basically anything from stock will void my warranty and do not want to take any chances other then putting tires on. I am on alot of forums but this seems to be the best one Thanks again. Also to add that I have tried everything under the sun and there is no way that 16 inch rims will fit on my truck because of bigger calipers on the front because they switched the rear back to drums in mid 05.
