    Default 99 5.3 w.t.h. ??

    My 99 Z-71 wants to burp fart and fall flat on its' face coming out of the hole , been to the shop and no codes to lead me... new plugs,wires etc, all different kinds of fuel cleaners and additives. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Need a little more info...

    - How many miles on the motor?
    - Any aftermarket parts (ie. CAI, Headers, muffler, etc.)?
    - Lift or leveling kit?
    - Stock or upsized tires?
    Pavement sucks... :grrrrrr:

    When was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

    truck has 120k and it is bone stock no aftermarket anythings , fuel filter was changed 3 weeks ago along with the plugs, wires, air filter. It acts like is is out of time belching back through the plentum. just funny there are no codes to go on , i have been leaving my scanner hooked up and still nothing.

    Check the resistance in your injectors they should sit around 11-13 ohms, pull the connector and touch your multimeter to the prongs on the injector. Also check your fuel pressure, and check for a clogged exhaust, pull the cat and run her open headers for a trip. your maf could be dirty, so could your throttle body. alot of little things could cause a big problem. good luck
