We should have already been drilling for more oil in Alaska. We also have Shale Oil in the mid western states that triples the amount of oil that OPEC generates. Natural gas is another commodity in abundance here in the USA but the politicians keep blocking any and all attempts at drilling. The politicians have created this "Climate Change" scam, which used to be "Global Warming" and attributes oil, coal and natural gas as the main culprits.
Our country has more than enough of these natural resources to supply our automobiles, homes and manufacturing for hundreds of years, in a clean and safe way. So when you hear the media and politicians say that we are approaching a shortage, it's a lie.
Now that I've finished ranting, lol, owning a 2009 Chevy Silverado flex fuel pick up, should ease those concerns. It might be a lot more expensive to fill up my tank but I'll still get to enjoy the ride.

I see people talking about their motorcycles getting decent fuel mileage. Just have to say my last fill up on the entirely powered by unleaded low grade dead-dino juice got me 40 mpg in my 2000 Saturn. And since I live in Montana, motorcycling is a very definite seasonal mode of transportation.

Just wish that my wife's Suburban would get half of what the Saturn does.
