    From: Wikipedia

    For 2000, Chevrolet's long-serving 5.7 L and 7.4 L V8 engines were retired along with the 6.5 L diesel; in their places came the new 5.3 L (325 cu in) and 6 L (364 cu in) in the 1500 and 2500 series, respectively.

Yes and no. In 2000 the boxy tahoe Z71 still was a 350 and so where the actual HD trucks(they stayed on the old platform), yes there was a 2500 that had a 6.0 but it wasnt the HD, so there should be some 2000 454 trucks, just very few and far between. My guess though is it was only in 3500 trucks

All my research says 1999 was the last year for the 454 in the suburban. Which happens to be the last pleasure vehicle to have this motor.the 2500 & 3500 pick up trucks were not considered a pleasure vehicle but a work truck. They switched to a completely different block and head system in 2000.the only thing that is able to interchange is the injection system, according to what i can research also some other small parts, i found people asking questions about their 454 in their 2000 suburban in other forums so i'm trying to get it strait in the research i'm doing.this is not for anything official just personal.thanks for all your input ,,,,
