HELP....No Start

97 suburban: The fuel pumps works fine, replaced the filter and have pressure at the valve. It runs off of starting fluid??????? Also have an open vacuum port on the purge check valve, it's the one directly under the plug. Small port not the 2 big ones on the bottom. Any ideas what plugs in there?

I had a similar problem, but mine would start and run with starting fluid.

It was the ignition module.

It controls much more than just the ignition now days.
