    Default what kind of ring and pinion setup do i need

    i have a 1996 k1500 4wd i want to change the ratio in the rear to 4.56 what ratio do i need to put in the front to make it right

    Unless there's something you aren't telling us, you need 4.56 in the front as well.

    a common misconception is that the front is geared different so that it pulls the truck in 4wd. I've heard this one too. you should have the same gears front and back.

    4.56 is pretty low, how big are your tires?

    35/14.50x15 nitto mud grapplers i want the truck to pull like crazy in 4lo but still do ok on the street

    for a 1500 isnt it recommended that you dont go higher then 4.56s? correct me if im wrong
