Hello, I have a 2008 Silverado in the pale blue. I dented up the doors. I sent it in for repairs and t he body shop can't get the paint to match. He has painted it a couple of times. Still no luck.
The truck looks great from up close if you step back you can see where the repairs were made. The color looks to be more solid. The body shop is willing to get it right but he has no idea whats going on.
They have color matched it still no luck

Color matching paint is an art form and you either know what your doing or you dont. It's a little harder when dealing with older faded paint but that goes back to knowing how to and not knowing.
The only true way to match the paint is a total repaint, even good shops have problems because new paint wont fade as fast as original and after a while it's noticeable.

Depends on where the repairs are, did they blend the color into the other panels. Colors are a little harder to match nowadays but if you came back and they redid it and it still doesn't match, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say maybe they don't really know what they are doing. If we have a customer coming back for something, we make sure its right before delivering it the second time.
