    Thumbs up Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Cableguy was nice enough to compile these five files which outline what I believe are all of the trouble codes that your vehicle could possible throw at you. These would be for OBD II systems only. (Not OBD I)

Maybe I should own a Trailblazer too. We considered getting one, but it wouldn't tow the horse trailer as well as the Avalanche would.

easier way is just go to the autozone page and type up the trouble code and itll tell you what it is.

I just bought the hypertech max programmer and after changing the programs a few times, it spit out a few codes but the next time i programmed one of the codes went away and a new one appeared. The truck never had dtc's before. It has 44,000 miles and i run LE oils in every part of the truck

cheap way to clear the codes-
    1. disconnect both battery cables
    2. touch the cables together
    3. reconnect

what this does is clear all voltage from the computer and emergency capasitors. so the ECU reboots back to factory fresh. if the check engine light/code comes back, you know for sure a component is failing and its not just a hicup.
(note- this will erase all you radio presets too)
