5 AMP Turn signal draw
When I have my turn signal on the voltage gauge on the dash moves. I clamped an ammeter on the alternator and it will jump 5 amps when the turn signal light is on.
Is this normal or a sign of another problem lurking in the wire looms?
Old and Beat Up!
I love it!

how much is it moving? 5 amps doesn't sound too bad. I'm pretty sure your fuse is rated for 10.
It could be a sign of either a dying battery or a weakening charging system.
Or it could be that it's always done it and you jus now noticed it.Patrick

5 amps is just about right for two bulbs.
The gauges in those trucks would move when you just think about turning the headlights on.When you hear hoofbeats, look for horses not zebras.
