Hey guys just wondering if its possible to put a 5 speed manual in my 92 suburban, and what tranny to look for and how hard would it be. Thanks
Andy

Ya know, I always wondered about doing that myself. If I were going to do it, I would look for a trans from a similar year pickup. I'm pretty sure that no suburbans ever had the manual trans option from the factory. So you'd need to cut your own hole in the floor, and in the firewall for the clutch. I don't think you'll find any "knock outs" there.

You might be able to use the NV4500 5 Speed. I helped swap one into a 70 Camaro years ago, but it seems to me that it came out of a Chevy truck. Check with drivetrain.com to see if it would work.
