Luckly i got rid of mine before this started.. However there was a similar problem with the older V-8s with the exhaust flange studs rotting out causing the same style of leak..

I had this exact problem. The same bolt broke off on the driver side. The bolt had to be machined out and replaced with a different bolt. The exhaust leak has never been fixed perfectly. I suspect the manifold was warped due to the problem. It cost me ~$900 to fix.

If a class action suit is filed and won, what is the likelihood that I will be reimbursed for the repair?

What is the likelihood that a suit will actually be filed and won?

Will a recall be issued? I think recalls are only for safety risks. I suspect a TSB will be the most to come out of this.

We get tens of thousands of these vehicle owners on here every month, if you had one of these vehicles and had a broken exhaust bolt, feel free to comment with a "ME TOO" post.

Yeah, any work done on a recall will usually be reimbursed for your parts and labor to get it fixed.

Thats because you live in a fairly salt free environment. There was a time where we were having to replace them yearly.. I bought my truck in March, and the donuts are already leaking a bit.. GRRRRR.. Time to spend the money on the headers that i wanted...
