89 suburban Cargo doors

Iam trying to change out the tailgate on my bur for cargo doors. But it seems that there is a small problem. I dont think that hinges are going to fit. I was told that there were interchangable can someone help me out????

It will fit, but they are welded in. the hinges.

Not a lot of fun to do, unless you know what you are doing.

I would not recommend it if you are not a real good welder, and have help. You put them in the wrong place and your fked.

There have been discussions on this subject before on this site, but I don't think anyone has ever done it. A couple of our members worked the assembly line, they should be able to tell you how the conversion should work.

I think I have a donor bur if need be but i would like to get step by step instructions

Didn’t someone here go to a body shop and asked about getting it done and they told him no problem.

You need to put where your at in your signature, you never know you might be right around the corner from someone who has done it.
