    Default Dic?

Just checking out the window sticker of my '09 2500HD and I find one of the "standard" interior features as being..."Driver Information Center" yet I do not have the dash bezel with the push buttons. Any ideas as to how or why this may be?

They all have the DIC - except you use the Odometer stem. You can buy the panel to put the buttons in. I just did it on my 2010 Silverado 1500.

You get more functions with the dash buttons.

Understood. I was wondering why it says I have DIC when in actuality I do not. I cannot access all of the functions through the odometer stem. I have only seen oil life twice since I brought it home. It shows trip OD, regular OD, trailer brake gain and thats it when the button is depressed. Could someone have wanted it and the dealer swapped panel from my truck prior to my purchase? It was after all a leftover '09 that I purchased in Feb of this year.

So I guess you've got a "little DIC", then. There are several products in the back of the magazine that will get you some size. Good luck with that, though!

"DIC" was waiting when I got home today. 15 minutes later it's installed and I'm diggin' it already! This forum rocks!

Don't hurt yourself with your "bigger" equipment! If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, imagine what shape you're in now!
