Default Thump or pop fron front driver side

    I recently bought a 1998 S10 2wd Ext cab 2.2l.
I have noticed after driving it a while a knock or a thump in the front driver side. Not a constant, only occasional. It happens sometimes while turning either direction, sometimes driving straight when suspension changes. I do not notice anything in the steering when it occurs.
I noticed it while raising truck to change a wheel today.
I did a quick look underneath. The ball joints look worn but nothing loose or broken that I can see on a creeper.
I believe the truck has set for sometime or had very little use before I bought it
Anyone have any ideas on where to start I would appreciate it.
    Thanks

A arm bushings, Ball joints can be bad and not appear it. Tie rod ends for the same reason. Centerlink. Also the body mounts.

I changed upper and lower ball joints, both sides this weekend, not as bad as I thought for first time. 4 hours passenger side (top had bolts) 2 hrs drivers side (top was still rivets). Not sure of condition of tie rod ends, rubber looked torn and heavily rusted. Purchased new inner and outer tie rods with sleeves today. May try replacing those this week. Manual seems straight forward, does anyone have ideas or tips that may save time over manual version?
