I got them done and tried to submit via the web! NO DOING! Intuit was backed up and suggested we try back around 4 AM. hah.

I printed them out and get them to the Post Office with about 15 minutes to spare. She did her taxes by hand and thought she was going to have to pay $1900! TurboTax kicked it down so she only had to pay $390!

You have to pay taxes at year end. I was under impression you didn't have to do that in the states. Shows you how much I know.

Most Americans have six types of taxes that they have to pay.

    1) US Government Income Tax
    2) State & Local Income Tax
    3) State & Local Sales Tax
    4) State & Local excise Tax
    5) State & Local Property Tax
    6) Other taxes such as vehicle registration tax, licenses, etc.

There are five states (Including Texas) that don't have State Taxes. (Lucky me!) But we have incredible property taxes.

Income tax is annual, and has to be paid by April 15th (or Tuesday after if falls on weekend).
