The computer in that year Suburban should be directly above the glovebox. Open the glovebox and peer through the gap between the glovebox and the top of the dash and the computer should be staring you staright in the face. To remove, I think you remove the 3 bolts from the bottom hinge area of the glovebox and remove the glovebox. Then, pull the couple of retaining bolts off the computer, and then remove the connectors to the computer. It should fall out then.

If you don't mind me asking; why are you pulling it? Is it for an upgrade or did it go TU?

Thanks for clearing that up for me; I'd considered replacing mine because the SES light goes on for about 10 minutes every now and again. I followed the code diagnostic indicator with the suggested repair and it stopped for awhile and started up again; checked the SES code cause and it was fine. Wondered if age has caused it to degrade.

Right on for the ECU location. I needed to modify the DRAC/VSSB speed controller and couldn't believe it. I pulled the glove box liner and there it was held in place with velcor.

I'm guessing you put bigger tires on or changed gears? My DRAC is right below the radio on the lower kick portion of the drivers side dash. So easy to get to, I don't have to remove anything to get to it. I got 3 spares out of the junkyard, about 10 bucks for the 3 of them. I was compulsively grabbing them
