plastic beats aluminum
i have a s10 ī00 4wd,suddenly i found a oilspot under my left front!! well okay coolerlines go by there and i read some notes about leaking hosecrimps, but not the issiu on my truck. took the plastic shield away and cleaned the area. found out the plastic cover for the electric leads rubbed on the aluminum part of the line to radiator, has made a small hole to the very tube. irritating 120 dollares and the job for a close plastic cover. other wise the weather is good and at 30 celsius and i wish you a very good summer/ peter

One of the lines between my oil filter and the oil cooler section of the rad rubbed thru. The wire loom inside the plastic cover was rubbing. Caught under the air box. My wife noticed the oil trail down the driveway and back into her parking spot.
Naturally every parts house in town had the ones from the block to the remote oil filter and I had to wait a day for mine...
Had to bend them some to get it all lined up and a zip tie kept the wire harness out of the way.Still Loyal to GM after all these years...
