    Default off idle dead spot

i have a 1998 k1500 suburban 4x4 with 5.7 vortec, auto tranny and all the bells and whistles, i have noticed that just off idle like starting from a stop sigh that my burban has a flat spot in the throttle, i have changed fuel filter twice i run the same gas as i have for years, its got a fairly new tune up within 1000 miles ,no codes or pending codes, just a flat spot and its driving me nuts, i am quite picky about the way my cars run and this is a puzzler to me, i have run oxygen around the intake to check for intake leaks and no idle up, has anybody had this problem before and if so any ideas on how to fix it, thanks Tom

The fuel pressure should jump up when you snap the throttle open. The fuel pressure regulator could be going, common problem on these trucks. It would probably be wise to take the truck to a shop with a scanner. Not a code reader. You want to watch real time data on the scanner as you operate the truck. Could be as simple as a throttle position sensor, or as complicated as a bad PCM.

Have you tried taking the throttle body and MAF off and cleaning them?

Also a sweep test on your TPS might not be a bad idea while your at it.
