So i have a 2003 silverado 1500 rcsb with a 5.3 with flowmaster 40 series exhaust...its my daily driver truck, i drive it back and forth to school and both jobs but also take it to the track everyonce in a while and street race quite often...i am gonna get a tune by nelson performance but wanted to get a cam first and i wanted to know what size cam i should get and what else i would need...i want to be able to at least keep up with a stock ls1 trans am but still have a driveable truck...

Performance Cam info is best answered by the pro's.

Try Crane Cams, Edelbrock, Comp Cams, etc.

Hopefully you are already letting the Motor breath better with a CAI and Headers.

If not, best to start there, then do a cam.

A new Chip Tune will definitely be in order.
    Pavement sucks... :grrrrrr:

I'd call CompCams at 1-800-999-0853, they have some nice truck cams for street and track. Edelbrocks says there LS type cams are not for trucks. Crane Cams shut down last year and was purchased by S&S and is reorganizing.
