i posted in the performance section the other day asking about superchargers for my 2003 gmc sierra 1500 4X4 but everyone figured it was pretty pointless due to price and the fact my truck has 136 000 km or roughly 84 500 miles. so i was wondering if anyone knew other ways of gaining more power without a total rebuild or bore, more of a bolt on option. its already got k&n cold air intake kit, flowmaster duals with no cats, and my cuzin is going to hook his programer up to it for me in a week or two, but would still like more power to play with , so if anyone has any ideas or opinions for me at all id love to hear them, and would greatly apprechiate it, thanks guys.

Other than a programmer, and a set of headers, mabey a cam. There is also a mod to put on elec fans in place of your belt driven fan (see ford taurus fan install in the how to section) then there are underdrive pulleys, Edelbrock makes a faster opening and higher flowing drive by wire throttle body. That pretty much eats up anything that is bolt on. Other than a supercharger which is not only expensive it is hard on the motor.

why not put the blower on anyways? you don't have to tune up 17 lbs of boost on it! start small and work your way up. If a supercharger is installed correctly with the proper safeties in place, ive never had a great deal of problems with my vehicles with superchargers... my GTP went to 285,000km before I SOLD IT....

Long-tube Headers, cam and a tune as the others have said. Also, could try high-flow cats or no cats depending on the state.2003 Silverado 2500HD 6.0L Vortec V8
