We had a customer bring us a Zoop kit to install for him. The guy's in the shop didit PER THE INSTRUCTIONS and it worked well, just time consuming ( pain in the a**), they were pissed at me.

I guess I won't be using on anything but my rims, if I even do that. I'm impressed with my rims so far, after a year of sun, snow, ice and salt, but want to keep the truck a long time. I haven't even polished them once yet, but will definitely keep an eye on them. Thanks for the tip.

Zoop seal works great, but unless something has changed in the last few years it's some expensive stuff.

If you're looking for a "wax" type product, Rejex is some great stuff (http://www.corrosionx.com/) I've used it on a few cars and a few airplanes with good results. I've never tried it on rims, but on polished aluminum it does work well. I have no idea what their corrosionx stuff is, I have a little sample tube but it doesn't seem to be what you're looking for.

Another good option is a simple clear coat. It has it's down sides too, but it will protect the chrome and the wheel. I think there are even powder coats that can be applied over chrome. It may be pricy, but it's a on time fix.
