Default 01 Silverado power mirrors sticking

Has anyone taken apart the powered mirrors? I am sure that they just need to be cleaned. Just wondering how to pop out the mirror. They adjust remotely but only after repeated back and forth attempts. I haven't ever pulled my mirrors. Is it something best left alone? Is it just the grease getting old and dirty? Any help on this would help me.

I would clean the switch contacts before i mess with the mirrors, and actually the mirrors are quite a pain in the ___ to get apart. Once the glass is installed its pretty hard to get out with out breaking. But it sounds a lot more like the switch contacts are wearing out.

When I try to adjust the right mirror it may not move unless I help it manually then after exercising it a bit it will start to work. The left mirror usually works fine so because of it working I don't think the switch is the culprit. I think the grease they use is probably become sticky with contamination. I don't want to break my mirror that is for sure. May just live with it then.
