Default Changing Serpentine Belt on 2003 Envoy L6

Does the 2003 Envoy L6 engine use a spring tension or a manually set tension for the serpentine belt?

Welcome aboard... You would most likely get more info if you were to post this question in the appropriate subforum. But it should be a Spring tensioner.

Thank you. I am new at this (forum) and don't understand how to use it correctly. So, if it is a spring tensioner, can I change the belt by just leveraging the tensioner away from the belt, or do I have to loosen a bolt first?

I see two plastic idlers, one on the right side (looking from the front), and one on the left. The one one the left is on a short arm. Is this the one I am to leverage to get the belt off?

I got it now. The one on the short arm can be pushed down to release the tension. Thanks for your help and your patience.
