I have a 2004 Chevy 1500 and my body side moldings are starting to fade, so I want to take them so I think there on with the M3 tape, or they might be hooked on, if someone can help me with this that would be great.and what's the best way to get them off. Thanks

I have an '01 and have thought about removing the side molding but as old as ours are, I fear once they come off there will be a difference in the paint underneath them. As in, the paint that is under the molding has not spent the last 11 years exposed to the sun as the rest of the truck has. Can anyone comment on this? Will the rest of the truck be faded compared to the paint that is under the moldings?
