Default Thanks! for the input on 5.7vortec troubles.

Thanks guys. I took your advice and my future son in law and I ripped into the intake. The side with fouling plugs had a bad gasket. It had sagged some how into a slight U shape and was not covering all the ports.

While I have it apart I am gonna change the tensioner, throw a new belt on her and clean everything up nice and purty

Good idea on the tensioner-I think I actually got mine from the Chevy dealer-not too bad-maybe $35 or so.
