    Default Maintainance Schedules

    heres what we use at work. its only a GUIDELINE but its a good place to start. we should sticky something like this and if thigns need to be added to the list we can do it. might lead to less questions asked about what needs to be done

    Every 3000 Miles:
    • change engine oil and filter and reset oil life system
    • check tires for damage and proper inflation pressures
    • visually check for any leaks or damage under vehicle
    • inspect engine air cleaner and repalce if necessary
    • check engine coolant level and windshield washer fluid level
    • TRUCKS: lube suspension: balljoings, steering linkage, etc (if you have after-market u-joints or a grease-able slip-joint on your drive shaft, nows the time to remember)

    Every 7500 make sure to do all of the above as well as rotate them tires of yours.

    At 25k:
    • inspect fuel system for damage or leaks
    • inspect exhaust system for loose or damaged components
    • inspect engine air cleaner filter and replace if necassary
    • TRUCKS with 6-speed manual trans only: change clutch fluid
    • TRUCKS with allison transmission only: change ATF and filter (severe service only)
    at 50k
    • inspect fuel system for damage or leaks
    • inspect exhaust system for loose or damaged components
    • replace engine air cleaner
    • change ATF fluid
    • TRUCKS with Allison trans: change ATF and filter
    • TRUCKS replace fuel filter ('03 and older)
    • TRUCKS inspect evaporative control system lines, hoses and valaves
    • TRUCKS without a fitler restriction indicator: replace air cleaner
    • TRUCKS with 6-speed manual: change clutch plate fluid (atleast every 24 months)
    • TRUCKS with four-wheel drive and automatic transfercase only: change transfer case fluid and check bent hose at transfer case

    At every 60K flush your diff fluids

    At 75k
    • inspect fuel system for damage or leaks
    • inspect exhaust system for loose or damaged components
    • inspect engine air cleaner filter and repalce as necessary
    • TRUCKS: replace fuel filter (03 and older)
    • TRUCKS: without a filter restricion indicator: replace engine iar cleaner
    • TRUCKS with 6-speed manual trans: replace clutch plate fluid (atleast every 24 months)
    • TRUCKS with Allison transmission only: change ATF and filter (severe service only)
    Every 100k
    • inspect fuel system for damage or leaks
    • inspect exhaust system for loose or damaged components
    • replace engine air cleaner
    • change ATF and filter
    • replace spark plugs
    • inspect spark plug wires
    • clean outside of radiator and condenser
    • pressure-check cooling system and cap
    • inspect hoses
    • TRUCKS: replace fuel filter (03 and older)
    • TRUCKS: inspect evaporative control system lines hoses and valves
    • TRUCKS: replace spark plugs
    • TRUCKS: without filter restriction indicator: replace engine air cleaner
    • TRUCKS: with 6-speed manual trans: change clutch plate fluid
    • TRUCKS with allison tran only: change autmatic transmission fluid and filter
    • TRUCKS with V8 engine only: inspect spark plug wires
    • TRUCKS with four-wheel drive and automatic transfer case only: change transfercase fluid and check vent hose at transfer case.
    • Flush coolant
    Atleast once a year
    • inspect brake system (brake lines, hoses, pads, calipers, wheel cylinder, rotors and drums)
    • clean outside of radiator and condenser
    • pressure check cooling system and cap
    • inspect radiator and heater hoses for cracks, swelling and deterioration
    • inspect safty belts, buckles, latch plates, retractors, anchorages and safty belt reminder light for damage or loose parts
    • lubricate key lock cylinders and hood, door and trunk hinges and latches
    • inspect trottle linkage
    • inspect passenger compartment air filter and replace if necessary

    Nice list. A little specific to your company's policies, but until we can develop a list based off the official GM list, I am stickying this.

    After a small bit of Googling for a maintainence schedule for my Saturn, I came across this link. It appears it is based off the official manufacturers maintainence schedules and covers most all vehicles.

    Thanks for the list but i change the engine oil and filter every 3k
    ashes to ashes dust to dust:slap:
