1996 GMC Suburban Bad 4L60e What years replacements will work. I am looking looking for a good used 4L60E. I would like to know what willl work.

For "plug and play" type replacements, you'll want to look for a '96 to '98 4L60E. You can also use '99 4L60E's if they came out of a truck with the same body style.

X2.. and its the suburbans and yukons that had the 99 body style as well.

Thanks for the info. My 4L60E has lost drive and overdrive. Is that a simple fix or not. I can pull the tran. and have yhe unit rebuilt foe $400.00 if needed.
I will have to pull the unit and reinstall the unit at that price.
