    Default best programmer?

    Hi all, i know there are tons of forums up about programmers but i want to know what would be the best programmer for my bodystyle and year model truck? thanks!!
    1998 K1500 Ext Cab Z71 187K
    8k HID's
    285/75/16 BFG A/Ts
    True Dual out the back IMCO glasspacks
    Prestige APS997 Remote start
    Also to come:

    well from what i know i think the superchips would be your best bet because its below the 99 body style you might want to look into that

    you should look into superchip cortex i am running it in my 03 and i love it. iits my 3rd chip i bought and is going to be the last one.
    2003 chevy silverado ext. cab short bed 5.3 auto
    6" pro comp lift / 3" body lift / "2.5 torison key / 4" flip shackle
    24x12 chrome kmc chrome rockstars on a 38/13.50 nitto trail grappler
    range rover front in / grant kustomz rollpan
    2.5% tint all the way around

    For your truck (96-99) I would get a custom tune. You have Blackbear, Wheatly, NelsonPerformance, PCMforless all do custom tunes.

    Alright i will look into that, how does a custom tune work? what about hypertech?

    Programmers for the '96 to '99 really don't do much. I like programmers, but not for the '96 to '99's unless all you want to adjust is for tire size or a gear change. Call the custom tuners mentioned and go with the one you feel comfortable with. They will explain all they can do.
