    I put 285/75R16E's on my 04 Z71 (all stock) and had no problems. I did tighten the torsion bars a little to raise the front end, but it was more for looks than anything else.

    Follow Silveradotrailblazer's advice on adjusting the torsion bars. He is correct that that is the best way to adjust them and get the ride height/quality that you want.

    I have an 04 silverado and with 295s on stocks and NO leveling kit it didn't scrub at all
