    Default 2000 chevy pickup

    i have a 2000 chevy pick up i just got it has flood damage the truck will start then stop running in just a few seconds ,just wondering if anyone could help me ?

    WELCOME , u came to the right place ..somebody will have the answer,

    water in the fuel, ECM messed up, ignition module, coil, crank sensor, ....a lot could be wrong with it !!!!

    need to start checking it out and i would flush the fuel tank and change the filter !!!! to start with !

    Default 2000 chevy pickup

    i got a 2000 model chevy pickup .it has been under water everything works like the radio heater, air .but it has a problem it want stay running it will start then cut off .anybody got and ideals whats wrong with it .

    Default needing some help2000 Chevy pick up

    i got a 2000 model chevy pickup 4*4 it's has flood damage ,it's heat works air works radio works and lights and so on .but when i start it it will run then quit ,run then quit i drain the tank changed the plugs and oil and tranmission,transfercase, back stump front stump.anyone got any ideals whats wrong with it ?

    Have you had this vehicle scanned for codes?

    Did you flush the tank and change the filter since yesterday's post and today's post?

    this is the trouble with buying flood damaged cars, 1. you never know what they went through or ran like before you bought them, 2. you could wind up replacing every sensor on the thing before figuring out what is wrong with it and long and short it could be something as simple as a bad ECM, that's where i would start you can take them to advance auto parts and have them checked (or you used to be able to, not sure if they still do that for you or not) if it's bad they could tell you there, if it's good then you have that part knocked out and it didn't cost you anything but a little time.
