code 35 and 36
Have a 1995 k2500 w/454. 140,000 miles. has a high idle 1500rpm out of gear, 1000 in gear. when i jump the A-B i get a 35 and 36 codes. my book tells me a 36 is a distributor ignition problem "have it checked by dealership" is that necessary? if not can somebody explain how i can fix it. then i have a 35 and my book doesnt list it. so can somebody tell me what a 35 is and if that can or cannot be fixed? if so how?
Thank you for any assistance.

You dont need to take it to the dealer. there is a chance that somehting got cooked in the dist.. Also check out the IAC, and take a look for a vacuum leaks. And go from there.Mike
