    Default new to this site

Hey y'all I'm new to this site but I need some advice on a truck I'm looking to buy. The truck is a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 crew 6.0 V8 gas. I need to know what the fuel mileage is before I get it since I put on average just short of 100 miles a day on my 1999 Tahoe.

Sorry I do not have the answer to your question; I am sure someone does. But I can say, welcome to the site!

Welcome to the club. I also average 100+ miles a day. I shudder to think what you fuel useage will be with that set up.

Welcome to the GMTC! I had the 1/2 ton version of the '04 w/5.3L and got an avg of 17 mpg. The 1500HD w/6L had 4:10 gears got closer to 15 mpg on the road. I don't know what gears you are running but, I expect you'd get closer to 15 than 17.

Just for reference, I have the 5.3 with 3.26 gears, running on E85 and get about 10 mpgs driving mostly local roads. You should search the site because there are threads on mpgs which may provide more details of others with the 6.0.

    Welcome aboard!

Here's the thread I mentioned above.
