    Default diablo predator or trinity

Is the trinity basically the predator but with a lcd display? do the pretty much do the same things as far tuning wise? and is the trinity worth the extra 300 bones? also i have 2010 silverado with the 5.3l and 6 speed auto would i run into problems becuase of the new 6-speed?

Slogan, dont know if this has any impact on your decision, but I remember reading about 3 weeks ago somewhere that the predator is on its way out. It is being replaced by a new hand held. If it was me I would wait to see what they replace the predator with before I spend that extra money on the trinity. Just my $0.02.

The Preditor replacement won't be ready for awhile. If you go to DiabloSport.com, click on products, then scroll down to the preditor or the trinity, then enter your trucks info and it will come up with all that each one does. You will have to look at them one at a time, doesn't show both together. The Preditor will still have support even when the new replacement comes out so its not like the preditor will be useless. My preditor is over 5 years old and I still get it updated. The trinity does have alot of bells and whistles if your into that otherwise I think you'll be happy with the preditor.

get the Trinity... it will have updates for it in the future, such as tranny support and the ability to tune more than one vehicle at a time...

won't get that with the predator....

plus the trinity has a lot more features, better logging, etc etc.

Personally, I think brand name CAI's are a waste of money. You can spend $300 for K&N or AEM or go on eBay and get one for under $100 and they basically do the same thing.

Neither the Predator nor the Trinity support your TCM on your 6spd: No TCM Support You will see that there is no plan for the Predators to ever have TCM support.

You might want to read up on the handhelds before pulling the trigger: Diablosport Forums

As far as CAIs, the biggest issue with the stock intake is the resonator tube, just changing out the tube will glean some benefits. Handhelds can not properly tune for any engine modifications, if you look on the forums posted above, you will see that it is recommended that you purchase a custom tune, in addition to the handheld you already have purchased- so your total will be over $500.

So your saying I should go ahead and buy the predator then when I get the CAI I can get a custom tune at the same time?

You will have to pay extra for a custom tune on top of purchasing the Diablo.
