Looking at the long headers with the Y-pipe, going to build a custom cat-back. Thinking a 50 series muffler with 3" cat-back, eliminating the cats.

    Thoughts?

What size of piping are you running? Is it the same size all the way back from the headers? I'm looking at long headers and then removing the cats and running a cat back custom built by me. I am debating size. I was thinking 3" single.

I have a lot of 304 stainless 3" tubing left so it would be cheaper to do 3". I discovered that the pipe from the muffler back is already 3". not stainless but 3". From the headers to the cats is 1 7/8" and from the cats to the muffler is dual 2" pipe. (all outside diameter).
